Grafana

The Collectu hub provides a managed Grafana instance. The service can be used to visualize and monitor data, especially data published to the managed Collectu MQTT broker.

As soon as you register, your personal Grafana account will be created. The same applies when you create an organization or add a member.

If you are logged in to Collectu, your session will be automatically forwarded to our Grafana instance, so there’s no need to log in separately when accessing Grafana via Collectu. Nevertheless, you have received a password for manual login if needed. You can find your initial password in your personal messages. We strongly recommend that you change it immediately.

Usage

To visualize data published to the managed Collectu MQTT broker, you have to add it as data source. To do so, click Add your first data source and select MQTT. Enter the following parameters:

  • URI: tls://mqtt.collectu.de:8883
  • Username: your-api-access-token
  • Password: Is not used, but should not be empty!

Now, you can create a new dashboard and enter your topic.

Do not enable auto refresh for MQTT data sources!
